How to Live a Life You Love - From a Life and Relationship Coach
Creating a life you love starts with taking time to reflect and create a life vision with intentions.
This is a crucial first step that I take when working with clients on life and relationship coaching, especially relationships. (You might not thought of how important it is to create a partnership vision together or if single, how creating a vision for the relationship you desire sets you up for success in attracting the right man. )
It is a sacred space to come from your heart’s desires and take some time to reflect and write down your life vision based upon what is important to YOU!
It makes it easier to set boundaries because you know what you want and what is important to you.
For example, you may set a vision for your health. Your values and desires are to feel good in your body, feel energized, vibrant. You visualize how good it feels to have a healthy body and you set an intention “I am vibrant, energized, and optimally healthy and make choices in alignment to that”
So, you go to lunch with your friends, and they may talk you into having dessert, however you have your guiding compass intention to keep you in alignment to your goals and aspiration and say "No, thank you!"
You are becoming the best version of yourself and creating your life the way you desire it to be.
It provides power and you are worthy to have what you want and desire!
I take time to create a vision and intentions probably every quarter .
So now that we can see how important it is to take time to create a vision and intention, let’s begin.
You have to first get ready to do this. You may want to purchase a journal.
The optimal place to create a vision (first step) is in quietness. Maybe sit in your backyard or go to a park and you want to make sure you have no interruptions. Or in your room and you can light a candle with soft music. Let this be very sacred.
I would allocate 1-2 hours to do this exercise.
Yes, this is commitment, and we are talking about your life here! LOL
Get Ready - This is exciting!
First - take some time to take some deep breaths, and imagine that you have roots to draw down into the earth and feel the positive energy of the earth, and imagine connecting to above to Source and feeling the love and light coming from above and into your heart and then end this ceremony with another deep breath and say: "I am worthy to have a life I love"
Second - take some time to write down what you want in the following areas of your life. When you write this down - ask yourself this question: ‘If I had a magic wand and could have anything I desire, what would that be? I mean really think big. What is possible for my life?
For example of the different areas and what you could write as an intention:
Career - I am an Executive or an Entrepreneur earning 6 figures utilizing my gifts, feeling powerful, having fun, in a place that is supportive, and room for growth and I am acknowledged for my contribution.
Relationships - love, friends, family - I am married with a loving, fun, supportive evolved handsome man where we share a life filled with purpose, passion and adventure. I have friends that are fun, loving and supportive and we get together to walk in the park and have lunch or go out dancing. I have great times with my family with laughter, love and support and honesty. I honor my feelings and needs and share them to others with respect.
Finance - I receive 10,000 a month in my career and investments. My debt is paid off and I have x amount of money saved for vacations.
Spirituality - I am taking the time to heal and release old wounds and being in my best self, taking time to meditate, attend church, take personal development course or a retreat, and be in nature more positive mindset, I am compassionate and loving towards myself.
Health - I am strong, healthy, fit and vibrant. I am eating non-processed food and healthy, I work out 3x a week, swimming, walking,
Hobbies - I am painting, crocheting, taking up photography and having fun with my hobbies.
Self Care - I take time for myself to read, be alone, be in nature, take a bath, spend time with friends.
Home - I have a beautiful peaceful home filled with a garden of flowers and herbs, and beautifully decorated by the beach.
Note: If you hear internal thoughts “like, yeah, but…..”, “that is not realistic”, “that can’t happen”, “how would I ever do that” – this is your mind taking over your heart. Let go of these thoughts and come from your true heart desires and your soul. Be sure to define your vision from what you desire and not the programming that has been instilled in you.
Third Step - This is what I desire in my life and who will I “be” to create this. It takes a new way of being to create new things in your life. It would be something like - I am being powerful, courageous, loving, inspiring, radiant, unstoppable.
Fourth step is to write a vision of a day in your life based upon your intentions and to add in the 5 senses (touch, smell, seeing, hearing, and taste) (about 10 sentences)
Here is a sample: I wake up in the morning and smell the ocean air and hear the waves. I feel so joyful living in a beautiful home by the ocean. I roll over and kiss my husband and I love the way he smells. I go for a run on the beach and see the beautiful sunrise. I come back and I smell the amazing aroma of coffee as my husband already has a beautiful breakfast of eggs and fruit. We eat breakfast and discuss our upcoming trip to Italy and we also discuss that we are having a dinner party tonight with our friends and discuss the upcoming charitable event we are supporting. We take showers and go to our jobs where we feel fulfilled and supported. I am so happy to look at my credit cards as they are almost paid off and I have some savings for my trips. We come home from work and cook dinner having fun and kissing in between learning a new recipe. Afterwards, I speak with my sister and we have an amazing conversation with each other as we are planning a yoga retreat together. My husband and I then go to our jacuzzi and kiss under the stars.
Congratulations! You have now written your vision and intentions. It is very important to keep this in existence on a daily basis as this connects to your subconscious mind.. I recommend recording it on your phone and listen to it in the morning and at night. At a minimum, read it daily. You can also create a vision board and that could be a lot of fun.
In summary,creating your life through intentions and vision setting brings your desired life into reality by focusing on your values, desires, and needs. The process includes setting clear and positive intentions, visualizing your desired outcome, and taking actionable steps toward making it a reality.
Your desired life is about the choices you make that are in alignment to your vision and intentions.
And a little disclaimer here...this exercise is not easy for everyone. We will read this email and it sounds like a good idea and not do it. Maybe you will start it and not finish it. Or you will feel like "why bother." Some form of limiting belief will come up...and it would be beneficial to tune into that. What is that about?
